Girls do not need to have any prior musical training to be a part of BGC. A new singer will need to schedule a time to meet with one of our directors to allow them to evaluate their voice. Singers do not need to prepare anything for this, but will simply be asked to sing a few patterns and a familiar song like “Happy Birthday” or “My Country ‘Tis of Thee.” In this low-stress meeting, directors will test the singer’s ability to match pitch, sing simple patterns, and perform a series of vocal exercises. However, if you have a song prepared, we would love to hear it!
